SAY HELLO to HALLYU!

Serving the Gen-Z with some trendy looks inspired by Korean Fashion

We have seen an evolution in the fashion industry. From cultural looks to the saga of western outfits has hit the Indian floor with the boom! But currently, a new wave of fashion is seen, which is very popular among teenagers and youth, that has arrived from the street of Seoul. Fashion has been part of Korean culture for a long time. Earlier, South Korea’s focus was on cheap, fast and covetable fashion. But the seeds for global fashion influence bloomed flowers when South Korea became a garment manufacturing heart of H&M in the 1970s. It rained a world of possibilities and gave way to a beautiful Hallyu, the ‘Korean wave’ of pop culture in the sky of fashion.

Much thanks to the internet that has helped to promote the Hallyu fashion trends. But of all the jaw-dropping statistics out of South Korea, the splashiest is that K-pop sensation BTS, not only broke records in music but have contributed to every pillar of their country. Fashion, culture and with a whopping $4.65 billion of GDP. They have earned brand ambassadorship of famous economic and fashion leagues such as Samsung, Puma, Fila and Louis Vuitton with other top conglomerates.

Because when Kpop or K drama Stars wear something, people believe that’s the style of K Fashion. While many fandoms follow their idols there are also distinct differences between these styles. Let’s explore the different types of Korean fashion styles out there.

The Hongdae Street Style

The most common and relaxed street look, mixing the aesthetics of rock and hip hop. The top part is oversized with relaxed fit pants, shorts or a skirt to go with it.

Cover Up and Pure Style

Everyone deserves to have their voices heard!

Language is essentially a medium of communication. It is a tool by which we can express our feelings to the world. But, some people suffer from deafness or have impaired hearing and they should not be sheltered from communicating with the rest of their peers.

Just because, a portion of the population cannot hear or speak, does not mean that their form of communication should not advance along with the rest of the world. Sign language is how the hearing impaired: express their feelings, contribute to a conversation, learn, and overall live their lives as normal as possible.

Everyone deserves to have their voice heard, no matter the circumstances. Sign language is a two-way street. The deaf community needs to know it, along with everyone else around them. They must live in a world that they feel can hear them, and support them in all walks of life.

These individuals are at risk for social isolation, stigmatisation, loss of independence, poorer literacy and academic outcomes, underemployment, and overrepresentation in the justice system. This makes sign language education a question of justice; the normalisation of sign language education and use would benefit marginalised groups.

This language of gestures should be offered as either an elective, or language course. The importance of sign language is gaining momentum, many high schools, colleges, and universities are introducing sign language classes into their course catalogues. Even many public figures are coming forward for this Nobel cause for equity.

World’s biggest boy band BTS recently released “Permission To Dance,” and the world praised the members for celebrating diversity.

In particular, they were lauded for using their platform to incorporate both Korean (KSL) and international (ASL) sign language into their choreography.

Leader RM talked about adding sign language to the choreography in his live broadcast. Aside from in “Permission To Dance,” the BTS members also used sign language on other occasions.

V, for example, showed off his expertise several times in the past, one of them being during the class of 2020.

HWARANG – The mystery continues!

INTRODUCTION

Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth

Hwarang is a South Korean television series starring Park Seo-Joon, Go A-ra and Park Hyung-Sik. This classic drama draws motivation from the historical Silla hwarang, it commemorated the voyage of these young men brought up from different social denominations to create a new Silla. The story revolves around an elite group of juveniles who discover their passions, love, and friendship in the chaos of the Silla province (57 B.C. to 935 A.D.)

This drama marks Kim Taehyung’s acting debut, he appeared in the role of artistic prince ‘Suk Han-sung‘ which was one of the strongest supporting characters in the drama.V along with his BTS’ hyung ‘Kim Seokjin’ sang a beautiful soundtrack “It’s definitely You” for the show.

Hwarang melds many genres together such as action, romance, comedy and suspense, all within one historical Korean series. This drama is based on real incidents, though the characters and story are solely fictional.

This show amasses so myriad gorgeous countenances that is virtually unbearable. Park Seo-Joon, Park Hyung-Sik, Kim Tae-Hyung and Minho are precisely a few of dazzling visuals that graced the canopy. These flower boys are more just pretty faces.                                          Park Hyung-Sik and his acting skills left everyone in shock, He has shown every emotion beautifully.                BTS’ V made a lovable but tragic acting debut in this show. His amazing acting skills and cuteness won many hearts but this BTS’ bear had left his lovers in acute pain for his character Han-sung.                      Minho’s character was comical through most of the drama, though in the end, Minho showed his real acting skills and came out as one of the important characters of hwarang. Park Seo-Joon has again proven himself as a wonderful protagonist, his extremely fine acting skills and actions are worth watching, his Romantic timing is so on point. I’m sure he will definitely drive you crazy.

HISTORY OF HWARANG –

Hwarang was energized by real chronological circumstances. Formed from the 6th century, the hwarang comprised of minor men “Only sons of the aristocracy were eligible to join, and the true purpose of the system, sponsored as it was by the state, was likely to enable the ruling class to select the most talented youths and earmark them for future positions within the state apparatus.”

The precise organization of the hwarang is not known beyond that the leader of a single group of a few hundred youths held the title of kukson or ‘National Immortal.” He was selected from the True Bone or chingol class of the Silla kingdom’s rigid social hierarchy, the Bone Rank System.”

In Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, this narrative is faithfully correlated in its overture, where onlookers are acquainted that the show is established during the supremacy of King Jinheung (540-576). During this period, Korea was divided into three nations: Silla, Baekje, and Goguryeo.

The occurrences of Hwarang took place in Silla, furthermore, the story tells us that few episodes deal with the tense associations between Silla and neighboring Baekje. Dog-Bird and his friend Mak Moon (Lee Kwang-soo) were carefree men who were living outside the capital, were best of a friend and their bond was unbreakable, Mak Moon was separated from his family when he was a kid and yearns to return to the Capital and his home again.

The show’s protagonist is an anonymous peasant who famous for the epithet Dog-Bird, this character was played by actor Park Seo-Joon.

Dog-Bird and his friend Mak Moon (Lee Kwang-soo) were carefree men who were living outside the capital, were best of a friend and their bond was unbreakable, Mak Moon was separated from his family when he was a kid and yearns to return to the Capital and his home again. He barely remembers anything about his past, aside from his blur memories and a detailed wooden neckpiece. Dog-Bird pledges to help reunite his buddy with his long-lost family, and together they wriggle into the walls of Silla. Seemingly at the same juncture, the “faceless mysterious king” discerned as Sam Maekjong, originally King Jinheung of the Silla, ( actor Park Hyung-Sik) returns to the Capital to encounter his mother, Queen Ji-so played by an actress (Kim Ji-Soo).

King’s mother had sent Jinheung to reside in camouflaging environment until she feels it’s safe to divulge his name and identity. However, King Jinheung is combated about his kingly rights to his throne.

Empress tried safeguarding Silla’s real King and seek help from Wi-wha and as an added inducement, she assures him that if he will get successful in tutoring the hwarangs, she’ll relinquish the throne, which many fellows of the aristocracy want, including the story’s main wrongdoer Master Young-shil.
The construction of hwarang is one of the crucial historical divergences in the show.

A Tale of Two Kings

Sincerely, Hwarang has several different stories. Dog-Bird, aimlessly trapped himself into the weirdest situation, after mak Moon’s massacred Dog-bird accidentally end up becoming Seonu—the real identity of his friend Mak Moon.

Dog-Bird tries to save him and is grievously injured in the process. Fortunately,
Ahn-ji helps Dog-Bird stay breathing in the Capital by masking him as Mak Moon’s true identity; Seonu. Nonetheless, What’s fascinating is Dog-Bird’s real identity. More than a peasant or “half-breed” (half True Bone, half peasant), Dog-Bird is a “Sacred Bone” (of royal descent) like King Jinheung

Ah-ro and Seonu

Ah-ro was told that fake Seonu (Dog-bird) and she are siblings, AKA the siblings that aren’t real siblings.
This bizarre plotline of Hwarang created awkward amour between Ah-ro and Seonu. Ah-ro feels anxious and sinful that she got seduced to the person she believes to be her brother, and Dog-Bird strives hardest to accomplish in his unusual brotherly role to placate master Ahn-ji, which led to a weird rooting romance between the two, also situation became more intended with King Jinheung also fell madly in love with Ah-ro.

But Ah-ro and Dog-Bird sustain a powerful bond right up until the show’s finishing episode. and how the show never attempts to mislead the observers with “who will she end up with?”

The Prominent Members of Hwarang :

Hwarang shows off a terrific cast, though its show’s rage spiked due to the inclusion of Tae-Hyung from BTS. Many plots in the show gave us visual delights; characters like Kim Soo-ho played (Choi Min-ho of SHINee), Suk Han-sung played by (Kim Tae-Hyung of BTS), Park Ban-Ryu played by (Do Ji-han), and Kim Yeo-wool played by (Jo Yoon-woo).

As a fan of BTS, I was overjoyed after seeing him and his wonderful acting skills.

Kim Tae-Hyung (V) from BTS appeared in the role of Suk Han-sung. And his character has taken my heart away.
Aside from Min-Ho and Tae-Hyung, I have to applaud for performances from (Do Ji-han) as Ban-Ryu and Jo (Yoon-woo) as Kim Yeo-wool. Both personalities are hastily remarkable, They truly made these characters feel believable.

To be exclusively ethical, there were a total of zero vulnerable performances in Hwarang which is rare. When a serial brings a huge crew of stars, it’s susceptible for a few to withstand more “forgettable” than the rest. This isn’t the case in Hwarang. The entire team and each character feel vibrant and enthusiastic. Every story feels meaningful.

Final Verdict –

Hwarang hastily evolved as one of my favorite dramas. It accentuates an all-star cast and an arrangement of tremendous performances. It never feels aluggish, it never feels musty, and you can’t help but get thawed into the show’s engrossing world. I have experienced an ancient Korean life while watching Hwarang. I felt like a habitant of Silla while watching the evolution of Dog-Bird from peasant to Sacred Bone. I have groped like a member of hwarang while gawking a faction of dupes set aside their discrepancies and bond jointly as pals. If I had to pick, I’d say episode 7 is the best from a crucial stance.

That said, out of the 20 episodes that encompass Hwarang, all of them are extremely delightful. I will say that the pacing staggers towards the verge as the show scrambles to meet its unavoidable conclusion. King Jinheung takes the throne, Dog-Bird too lives happily always after with Ah-ro, and the hwarang continue to fight together.

What’s forfeiting is obvious justice for Master Young-shil and an epilogue for characters like Princess Sook-Myung and Suk Dan-se (who accidentally slaughtered his brother). Dan-se is indicated as a member of earshot fairly than a “disciple,” but it’s never deciphered how he acquired this stance or why. Of course, these are all small things that can easily be dominated. All in all, Hwarang is decent. It’s one of those shows that realizes like sitting down to a promising meal. Every part of the crock is delightful.

Enhypen got its name from symbol Hyphen (-), that creates beautiful meanings like “Connection, Discovery, and Growth”, which is the basic moto of this boy group, ENHYPEN aims “to come together to connect, discover and grow together to create a new act.” Which further implies seven different boys from totally different worlds came together and connect to discover one another and grow together. They are ambitious to unite people and this world through their soulful music.

History

Two famous entertainment agencies of South Korea CJ E&M and Big Hit Entertainment together co-founded Belift Lab in March 2020, with plans of creating a new boy band. The Notion of forging a new group made K-pop enthusiasts crazy, Auditions commenced worldwide (Seoul, The United States, Taiwan, Japan and more) for male trainees, boys born between 1997 to 2008 were eligible for the auditions. The competition had two parts, 12 competitors from the first fraction made it to the final part.

The band is exploring a wide range of genres while tussling with a new reputation as an emerging global idol group. There very first album’s lead single, “Given-Taken, is a high-energy rock and roll pop song with mesmerising vocals and energetic dance moves, adding fuel to the sizzling spicy symphony, lyrics of the song implies the mental struggle of new idols. This track was officially released on 30 November 2020 and has achieved more than 300,000 preorders for their first single.

Jungwon

Jungwon is a leader of the ENHYPEN, this 16-year-old leader is a reliable teammate and consistent performer. A boy who has “mesmerizing allure” and ability to communicate the nuances of the song’s meaning makes him different from his teammates. His zeal and energy met everywhere with conspicuous success which made him stand above all the other members. His caring and supportive personality have earned him love and trust from his teammates, who have chosen him as their leader.

“It’s a challenge for me to let go of the pressure. I’m just grateful for the members who have shown trust in me and followed my lead. I look up to RM of BTS because I think he is a good leader and there is a lot to learn from his way of listening to team his members and resolving conflicts; a shield to protect his team from negativity.”

Jungwon was a taekwondo player and had competed in Korea’s national sport, he has learned refinement, morality, endurance, self-control and unconquerable passion from his sport and still has heart-winning sporty nature “the manners and self-control that I learnt from Taekwondo helped in the entire process of the debut.”

Lee Heeseung

The oldest member of the group. Heeseung is the most experienced member and chosen as ‘the core of every performance’. He is considered as ‘ace’ among I-Landies due to his perfect skills in singing, dancing and his visuals. He is very creative and productive, his adaptive and supportive nature makes him everyone’s favourite.

“We should build leadership together as a team. Each member of the team has to have leadership and take action to help that role, not just with words but really to help the leader out for the whole team to succeed.”

Heeddueng was a trainee with the longest training period among his fellows mates, he did his training with the bighit entertainment for over three years and was trained alongside TXT members before their debut.

JAY

Park Jong Seong aka Jay is known for his amazing dance skills among I-LAND apprentices, despite having admirable dancing skills he had gloomy outlook towards his abilities,
He’s been a trainee for few years and had learned to control his scepticism, embarrassing moments and frustration.

Jay is known as ‘Angry bird’ among his comrades due to his explosive energy and tension maker personality.

Not only a great dancer Jay is the best culinarian and used to cook for his I-Land members. Jay wanted to be a chef when he was young, along with cooking this angry bird is a gastronome as well.

JAKE

From Australian high school to the winner of one of the biggest survival show in K-Pop history, Jake Sim made his way into the K-pop world. Since his childhood, Jaeyoon was more of an athlete than a performer. He was a good soccer player but despite his athleticism, music has always yanked him.
Again, Jake is a great violist as well.

Jake’s dream to become an idol from an athlete drastically shifted in November 2017. When young 15 years old Jake saw a mind-blowing performance: BTS’ DNA on American Music Awards, BTS left him speechless and shocked, he got inspired by them, BTS’ energy and vibes drove him crazy and it was then Jake decided to follow his idols and wanted to be a megastar on stage with crazy fans just like BTS.

And, Jake worked hard constantly for his dreams, hoping against hope for a miracle, as he rehearsed, cheered, and hustled with unbridled enthusiasm. And it was then Universe rearranged his life paths towards BTS.
Jake is known for the alluring voice behind the narration of ENHYPEN’s debut and concept trailers so far.

Sunghoon

One of the finest dancers of ENHYPEN, his ability to pick up choreography promptly makes him a most equipped dancer.

Sunghoon is known as ‘Ice Prince, visual #1’ by his fellow Enhypen mates. Lately, he was a competitive ice skater and had participated in both national and international competitions and his professional background in ice skating earned him an edge over other competitors of I-Land when it comes to certain moves.

Sung-hoon is the junior silver medalist (2016, 2017) of Asian Figure Skating Trophy, South Korean Figure Skating Championship for year’s 2013, 2014, and in 2015 novice Gold medalist of Asian Figure Skating Trophy and Lombardia Trophy.

His Idol life

His story of becoming Idol is way too similar to Jake, he too had dreamt of becoming successful Ice skater but Sunghoon’s dream from ice skater to an idol changed when he saw BTS live CONCERT. He was astonished after seeing the power BTS have and how perfectly perfect they are. It was only after watching BTS, former competitive skater felt inspired and he decided to work hard to be a successful idol just like BTS.

Sunoo

Aegyo master sunoo was specially chosen by the producers of I-LAND and industry insiders including BIG HIT’s CEO ‘Bang Si-Hyuk‘ as the seventh member of ENHYPEN. Sunoo is the visual centre of the boy group due to his adorable and cute fox-like visuals and charming personality he’s been called as ‘Aegyo prince’ and ‘desert fox’ among his fellow I-Landies. This bright and energetic boy had a tragic past that nearly stopped him from fulfilling his dream and becoming an idol. Sunoo had major health issues since he was young and had to undergo surgery, so idol training has been physically tough for him.

Though he hides all his pain beautifully, he doesn’t like being a burden and worry his fellow members during practices.

Despite his illness, Sunoo proved himself to be an important member of his band and is winning the hearts of his fans with his charms and loveable energy.

Ni-Ki

The youngest member of ENHYPEN, 14-year old Ni-Ki is one of the top dancers on I-Land. When it comes to dancing; talent, technique, tenacity are just possessed him, dance has always been his priority over anything from the start, his alluring dancing skills and powerful expressions have impressed the audience and judges. Ni-Ki’s amazing dances moves and his love for dance has earned him names like ‘Super dancer’ and ‘Little Michael Jackson’ from his fellow dancers, Ni-Ki has a strong dancing background, he revealed that family is also indulged in dance and they even run their dance studio where he has grown up learning dance. Youngest has worked hard for his dream to be an amazing dancer. According to his teammates, Ni-Ki’s most precious item is his ‘pair of dance shoes’.

Though he has mastered his dancing skills but has received some criticism from the makers for his uncertain and shaky voice. Creators and trainers continued to look towards him as beautiful dancers rather than a complete performer. He was often asked to help the other trainees memorize choreography for the test.

Not only this Ni-Ki had faced linguistic challenges, other than his idol training he was expected to learn Korean for future endeavours in K-Pop world.

BTS ( BLOOD TEARS & SWEAT)

Well! Hello there

I am Uttkarsha Shekhar, I am an ARMY, no wait I am not in military services and serving my
country, ah well I wanted and I would love to in future as well but this ‘term’ is different, here
it represents a fandom of the Famous Boy Band ‘BTS’ from south Korea.

What is Kpop?
Kpop is Korean popular music. It is mainstream music that originated from South Korea. Korean
pop music in Korea could be thought of as similar to Taylor Swift in the United States.
You may see the Korean pop written as K-pop, K pop, Kpop, K-Pop, and KPOP

If you’re still completely new to Kpop, then think of pop groups such as One Direction, Little
Mix, and Fifth Harmony in the West: they’re close to the concept of idols!

Kpop idols are groups and artists formed by various entertainment companies creating catchy
Korean popular music and targeting younger audiences. The groups are formed from a group of
people who are all particularly talented in at least one of the following: singing, rapping, and
dancing. These idols often enter the entertainment company in their teens and then train hard for
years in areas like singing, rapping, dancing, and foreign languages. Then, if they are lucky and
talented enough, by the end of their teens they will be picked for an idol group.

And then there is, of course, BTS, which has been an even bigger smash hit in the USA and other
countries than it has been in Korea.

How did Kpop music become a worldwide phenomenon?

Many companies made various attempts in Korea to break into the
Most famous English music markets, especially in the US. Some bands are the group’s BoA and
Wonder Girls. But Kpop was appreciated by the whole world when Psy’s “ Gangnam Style” hit the radios all
around the globe in the summer of 2012.

r

After that hit, it again seemed like a fluke for few years, but now
that the world has gone crazy over BTS, and now we can finally call Kpop a worldwide phenomenon!!
Not only Kpop; because of BTS whole Korean culture, language, food, movies, dramas are growing and becoming popular worldwide.

Why is Kpop Unique?

Kpop with its idol groups/bands is quite different from music worldwide. The melodies are beautiful, soothing, catchy, the choreographies
are notable and the group members are perfect, attractive, and exquisite to the eye.
Artist works a lot on his looks physique, skin, skills. They have to undergo intense pressure and workload to look and become an ideal figure for his fans. This process involves a lot of effort
into making the music videos look captivating and high quality. These groups have specific styles to help them stand out from the crowd to gain more attention from their fans. Their dancing requires synergy, which is called “Kal-gunmu” In Korean which means ‘dancing impeccably in sync’.

What are all skills are required to become a K-pop idol in SouthKorea?

It takes Blood, Tears, and Sweat ( BTS) to become a Kpop idol.
Groups like Bigbang’s G-Dragon spent 11 years in training – five years with SM Entertainment and
six at YG, but Bangtan boys, king of K-pop has become one of the first crossover K-pop artists
It takes lots of patience, determination, grit passion, commitment, good looks, and luck to become a K-pop Idol and to
relish worldwide success.

Ever wondered what it takes to be a Kpop idol?

BTS

I’m just moved on after watching the video about BTS.
About 3 years ago I met BTS. Before BTS, K-Pop was just a genre of music for me. I
would “Just listen and dance and admire the VFX, clothes and of course BTS” I started listening to
BTS like this. But after knowing them I realized Bangtan is not simple boy group.

Coming from a very small company that was on the verge of bankruptcy, having huge money and equipment problems, had a bad name in the world of Kpop because of previous band members, begging and collecting
spectators on roads, giving concerts for free, teased by seniors on various variety shows, and now becoming a legend from nothing, is BANGTAN.
Bangtan is a group that got reviewed and bad remarks by impertinent, talentless, and xenophobic people who say ‘You look like a girl’, a group of gays, doing makeup, this is not hip hop, they are chingi Chinese, etc. Wow, talentless shits are making remarks on the world’s biggest boy band!
These underground B-Free and Xenophobic people have no brain and heart.
Bangtan is not just a group, these seven members are seven pillars of life ( Program, Improvisation, Compartmentalization, Energy, Regeneration, Adaptability, Seclusion)
Program: By program, I mean a systematic and organized life. They are very professional and hard-working, they taught us to work hard for our dreams.
Improvisation: BTS always keep room for improvement for themselves, they work hard, accept wisdom with open hands and always try to learn and become the best version of themselves, and they always motivate their fans to do the same.

Compartmentalization: Just like we have skin that keeps deleterious substances outside our body.
BTS taught us to keep hate and negativity away from us. BTS has received so much hate, death threats and were ill-treated for their looks, dance, but they took every hate as a challenge, fought it with their talent.
BTS and Army are together bulletproof.
They taught us to love ourselves and accept who we really are, irrespective of what the world thinks.

Energy: BTS is a synonym of energy, perfection, positivity, professionalism, and magic.
Regeneration: Walking, running, falling, again getting up with a fighting spirit is what regeneration means here.
BTS is the perfect example of this.
From inviting spectators for free concerts to concerts in the world’s biggest
stadiums (Housefull) is just a BTS thing.
Adaptability:
Rigorous training, extreme diet, a packed schedule, slave contracts, public image pressure, work pressure, have to look perfect, no privacy, etc. They still manage and adapt themselves beautifully irrespective of anything and health issues.
Seclusion: They always try to keep pain, grief, pressure, sadness away from their fans and always motivate and comfort them in their magic shop.

MIN YOONGI

Suga of BTS’s

He struggled with depression, anxiety, and pain from pre-debut days. He was born in Daegu, South Korea, into a poor family. He was a good student in school,
But music was always his passion, though his parents were not in support of his dream. He continued producing music despite his parents’ disapproval. At the age of 13, he began composing music and learned how to use MIDI on his own. This self-taught teenage boy was mastering himself but circumstances made him pause this middle, due to the poor condition of his family, he was forced to work, but this fighter didn’t give up and decided to go to other places to sell his music on the streets. However, it was extremely hard to sell music. and Yoongi always talks a lot about being scammed for his music. One of the most heart-wrenching lines he’s said was that when he tried to buy a $2 bowl of noodles, he didn’t have enough money to take the bus home; oftentimes, he had to choose between eating and taking the bus, due to which he often went to bed with an empty stomach. Yoongi became part of the underground rapper team D-Town or Daegu Town and named himself Gloss. An iconic rap produced by him goes by the title 518–062, which signifies the issue ( Gwangju’s area code – 062 and Date of incidence – 518 ) of the Gwangju Democratization Movement.

During his trainee period, Yoongi began working as a newspaper delivery boy. Unfortunately, when he was delivering papers, he was struck by a car in a hit-and-run accident which completely damaged his shoulder. But he kept the secret to himself and fought through the pain as he practiced as a trainee under BigHit, he was afraid that if he told them that he would lose his career with them. From that day – to this day, Yoongi does not have full motion in that shoulder and he no longer is able to b-boy because of it.

Not only this, because of packed schedules, lack of sleep, work pressure.
Yoongi began developing mental health concerns. He developed severe depression and social anxiety which still affects him to this day.
In his song “ The Last” in his Agust D album, he talks about his mental disorders which were severe enough to lead him to see a psychiatrist, he was so depressed and frustrated that he has thought about suicide.
During the HYYH era, Yoongi’s mental health was so critical, he got many social anxiety attacks, and BTS was forced to cancel their concert because Yoongi was severely ill. But Two days later, he posted a long and emotional self-reflection about himself

JUNG HOSEOK

Jung Hoseok; Sunshine

Despite getting hateful and hurtful comments and death threats such as “Leave the group, you’re
ugly”, “Go and die” and so on, he was mentally harassed by his aficionados which made him lose confidence and hope in himself and his future as an idol. He decided to leave and he actually did.
Our sunshine had undergone a lot of pressure and hardships.

This glorious boy emits sunshine wherever he goes, his eye charms, his adorable smile can easily melt your heart.  He is a lovable, caring, selfless, and angelic human. He always put others before him – his teammates, his family, or his admirers. J-Hope is called “Manager Jung” because he plays a major role in choreographing terrific dance moves for BTS projects.

He is a tremendous dancer, terrific rapper and an incredible singer, a pure soul. And has never refrained to express his love, gratitude, and appreciation to ARMY for their love and support they all got.

Some toxic fans bashed him for his looks and talent; calling him talentless, Ugly, the burden of BTS, etc.

I really have a lot of thoughts for myself at this beginning of the year.

Sunshine

Late at night when everyone is asleep, Hoesok works a lot on self-improvement.

“I was monitoring myself and practicing my dance for the first time in a while, and I’m feeling a lot of things. I’m really lacking still… I feel like I should work harder, so I’m tweeting a fighting tweet. Fighting, Hope!”

He deserves more love, support, and recognition. Without him being in BTS, it wouldn’t even be BTS Jhope

JEON JUNGKOOK

Our golden maknae was only around 13 -12 years old when he first joined Bighit Entertainment as a trainee after lagging the SUPERSTAR K Auditions.

He has an angelic voice, which made him a promising preference among idol companies, he earned myriad offers from very well-known corporations but He found hope and decided to unite with the company after listening to Namjoon’s rap.

Jungkook was an introvert and a reserved-natured boy who even used to wait until the rest of the members had fallen asleep so he could take a shower alone. He was so shy that he had difficulty making friends due to his reserved nature young age and he often missed his parents who resided in Busan, this little kid had to adjust to a completely new and different society alone without the help of his family and friends.

Kook has never voiced anything about his struggles or hardships to his hyungs because he didn’t want to burden them and instead kept everything to himself.

During Vlive 2016 every BTS member cried while mentioning their struggles what further surprised them was their own youngest brother Jungkook who never voices his struggles broke down in tears for the first time.

“Usually if we ask him if he’s okay he’d always say Hyung I’m not tired. I’m okay because I’m

strong” – RM

“But my biggest burden is knowing that my hyungs who take care of me and look after me are burdened by difficult hardships” – Jungkook

Kookie too has received much hate for various reasons, his haters always try their best to pull him down, whether it’s about solo performance in ‘Rainism’ Or for ‘line distribution system’ in songs. This talented boy had done nothing wrong to get this hate. This behavior was atrocious and ridiculous.

KIM NAMJOON

Our leader Kim Namjoon has gone through supreme pressure and burden. RM was the first member to enlist in the band, BANGTAN BOYS. Our Moonchild was a very smart student during his school, and his parents wanted him to get a stable job; like his father who is working in SK Telekom, so they were not really on his side for the musical career for their son. He has struggled a lot, faced real hardships, trying to convince his parents that this is what he is passionate and determined about.

Bangtan’s great commander Kim Namjoon is the strongest member of BTS, despite getting testimonies like “You’re ugly, terrible, you
don’t have the face of an Idol” but he handled all that gracefully. RM has an IQ score of 148, he is one of the most
intelligent, creative, and sympathetic artists, ever. He can enunciate in few languages thus he
can communicate with I-ARMY skillfully. And often
translates for the group. A cute person who commences his
speeches with the word “ARMY!”. He is the creator, rapper, and also the songwriter of
Bangtan.

RM was just 17 when BTS debuted, but he has put his everything for his team & dreams, this man who labors his butt off to keep the faction together.
He has fulfilled every requirement and still oversees everything beforehand. Joonie is so smart and creative with his words and how he describes himself.
During an interview when Joon was asked about his mom’s views about the new career path he took, he said:

”So I asked my mom if she prefers a son that was 1st in what he likes or a son that was in 5000th place. That conversation resulting in my mom allowing me to chase my dreams.”
We are really glad that his mom is now supporting him.
I am grateful for RM and his positive outlook for life, how he maintains a balance between his both life, the protective aura he emits, and how strong he is; how he keeps everyone intact in the group. Namjoon is a great leader and will continue to prosper in that facet! I am so proud of you President.

PARK JIMIN

PARK JIMIN Our cutest Mochi, Jimin, is the most ‘precarious’ member of BTS when it comes to his body and looks.
As we have all seen that during their debut era, Jiminie had well-defined abs and biceps; a perfect muscular boy. Everyone loved his hot and alluring body but as time passed by, Jimin started losing his perfect muscular body and especially, his abs which led to dissatisfaction amongst ARMY.

Fans started abhorring him & leaving the fandom due to Jimin losing his ‘signature _luring_ look’ because without it he was nothing for them; not even his voice could save him. Most fans were after his looks, only.
His insecurity took over him, completely. Negative body image and low self-esteem made our Chimchim start starving to lose his fat. He would eat only one meal that too in a small portion and wouldn’t eat before or after rehearsals consistently, ten days in a row! He had starved himself to unconsciousness.

Extreme diet, hard exercises, and constant dancing practices had made him weak.

He used to practice to a point where his nose started bleeding, falling on the ground limp and unconscious. The constant pressure of trying to ‘fit’ in the society caused Jimin to feel insecure daily to the juncture where the members told Jimin to start devouring healthy on the broadcast which also elucidated ARMY just how out of control Jimin’s diet was.

Abs and physical beauty are a great element to have and to see, but in all honesty, I’d rather want to see a healthy Jimin than a perfect looking boy. I’d love to see Jimin feeling happy about his body, and admiring himself for being a beautiful man in this world instead of believing that he needs to alter his physique just to amuse this demanding society. Because the world is a gloomy and cruel place and doesn’t show mercy to anyone.

Thankfully, Jimin is no longer famishing himself. During 2015, in a fan meet, Jimin astounded everyone! He told everyone that they should not look forward to any ‘abs’ as he will be consuming a lot of luscious food. He also asked enthusiasts to love his flat breadbasket that overfilled his lovers with euphoria. Jimin who had battled with his body image is now accepting himself beautifully: he can eat, gain weight, and can still cackle about his flat tummy. He has the right to be happy and now, he really is happy!

KIM TAEHYUNG

KIM TAEHYUNG

Our little Taehyung, was one of the poorest members of BTS – has been confirmed through an interview during the ‘Skool Luv Affair’ era.

“I came from a poor family, and I never thought that I would become famous. Being an idol is a lucky chance that will only come once in a lifetime. If I wasn’t in BTS, I would probably, be a farmer. I’d be pulling out weeds from a farm with my grandmother.”

Tae-Tae has come from a family of agriculturists; his grandmother was a farmer and raised our baby bear for 14 years.

She was a motherly figure to our Taehyungie. He was close to his granny. In September 2016, Tae had lost his grandmother. He had confirmed this during their ‘3RD MUSTER’ celebration. V saw his fans worried about the sad aura he emitted which led to the confirmation of the shocking news that his grandmother passed away while BTS was in the Philippines.

Tae was heartbroken and depressed by the sudden departure of his beloved granny. He sadly explained that how excited he was to meet her – he even planned on surprising his grandmother on TV, watching his little TaeTae was her biggest dream, but unfortunately, she passed away before V could thank her. Having to emotionally stabilize yourself in front of your enthusiasts after struggling to cope up with losing a loved one – a motherly figure – and someone that meant the world proves how strong Tae is both physically and mentally.

He struggled hard and suppressed his grieves inside his heart, he remained silent till his last words of the proclamation had died away and finally broke down and burst out in tears in front of millions of fans. The same fans his grandmother told him to cherish dearly just as he did to her.

Tae auditioned for Bighit Entertainment without his parent’s knowledge or permission.
He pleaded with staff members to convince his parents to allow him to follow his dreams of being a singer. But haters didn’t stop here. They went on bashing him after the great loss of his granny and dragged his late grandmother in a dirty pond of hatred.

KIM SEOKJIN

KIM SEOKJIN
What if he’s worldwide handsome?

What if he’s the son of a CEO?

Do you think he got everything so easy?

Well, Lemme brings some struggles of Kim Seokjin in front of your eyes.

– Struggle of dancing to fast choreographies like Dope, Fire, Not Today and still not complaining, Jin was not trained dancer and singer, he has learned and improved himself at this point where he is dancing with J hope and Jimin. Still, people call him the worst dancer, bad singer, and immature unwanted member.

Recorded Jimin and Armys passionately, didn’t get the praise he was expecting but still remained humble. He is the most humble and kind-hearted member of the group, he cares a lot about his family, members, and fans.
He has raised his maknae line well, especially Golden Mankae ‘JK’, Kookie is so grateful to his Jin hyung for raising him up this well.
Still being mistreated by the maknae, still not complaining, he is definitely an angel.

– Always try to make people happy, he works a lot to make armies laugh and to lighten up their mood. He’s an optimistic person with. Jin is a synonym of bubbly and cheerfulness, he always tries to keep his members stress free in almost all kind of situations with his dad jokes.

He has the personality that all armys/and younger members can look up to. He always tries to be funny and do things that make members and armys happy. We should also try to be confident and lively like Jin.

Apart from his Jolly nature, Jin has certain problems but he tends to hide them with his wind-shield laugh he has crooked fingers which is a result of a congenital disorder that leads to a reduced amount of collagen thereby damaging the molecular structure of the finger.

BTS and their powerful effect

Their benevolence and passion made them today who they are. They know where they came from and what
they can accomplish. The relation between BTS and Army is beyond the normal fan- idol relationship.
ARMY has a magic shop in form of this group; that calls them “My love and my friend, my heaven and my pride”.
BTS, on the other hand, has an ARMY that says “If we are together, even the desert
becomes the sea”
“Still I’m nothing different from a rural Daegu rapper but I wrote the word ‘pro’ on top of
“amateur’ “
“While rapping and dancing on the stage I wanted so badly I feel yet alive, the tiresome
trip to work and back home”
“I can withstand such troubles because my people are watching me. Because even if
My body hurts, the cheers come rolling in”
“People I’ve been watching are now all watching me”
“And the let the haters on me. It’s a day job they’ve always been at”
“While you were teasing the keyboard I fulfilled my dreams”
“Sunglasses, a hairstyle I know why you ridicule me. In any case, it’s me who’s gone
further than you at the age 20″
“How we became one mind in 3 years”
“I’m a born singer”

-Born Singer
“I know I know that I will”
“Small company’s idols with nothing special was my second name”
“Countless times edited out from broadcasts. Someone’s fill-in, our dream”
“Even back when the seven of us struggled to sleep in one room the trust before sleep
that tomorrow would be different”

“At last, I grabbed the mirage and it became reality”
“The desert I was afraid of became that sea by our blood, sweat, and tears”
“Where there is hope, there are trials”
“We have to despair, for all of those trials”

-Sea
“Follow your dream like a breaker, even if it breaks down, oh better”
“Don’t ever run backward, never”
“Because the dawn right before the sun rises is the darkest”
“Even in the far future, never forget you off right now”

-Tomorrow
“It’s okay, come on, when I say 1-2-3 forget it”
“Erase all sad memories, hold my hand and smile”
“If you believe what I say then 1-2-3”
“1-2-3 for a better day because we are together”

-2! 3!
Finally, I want to say:
“Love Yourself”

                  STRONGEST KPOP GROUP

BTS Donated to
Causes They Care About,
ARMY loves BTS for the way, the group
gives back to their community, both local and
international.

This kpop group has partnered with
UNICEF and gave a speech at the UN. The
members of BTS also frequently donate to
generous causes.

Jin is a member of UNICEF
Korea’s Honors Club
In May 2018, Jin joined UNICEF Korea’s
Honours Club.
To enlist the group of donors,
members must donate at least 100 million
won, or $88,000, to the organization’s cause.
Jin started secretly donating after BTS
partnered with UNICEF in 2018.
When Jin’s
secret donations were made public, BTS
fans felt incredibly proud of the singer.
“I love jin so much he donated monthly to
Unicef since May 2018 and he didn’t say a
word now he’s in the honours club he’s such
an angel we don’t deserve him AT ALL,” a
a fan wrote on Twitter.

BTS member RM donated to a
school for his birthday
To celebrate his birthday earlier this year,
RM donated over $80,000 to Seoul
Samsung School which specializes in
education for hearing-impaired students

rapper donated $83,740 to be used for music
education.
“so you’re telling me,,namjoon donated
100m won to a school for hearing impaired
students so that ‘they can enjoy music in
various ways’ ,,,and the money is going
towards music education,,,kim namjoon the
man you are today,” a fan tweeted.

Jimin often makes donations to
education programs
In 2019, Jimin reportedly donated $87,914 to
the Busan Metropolitan City Office of
Education. Jimin is from Busan and attended
Busan High School of Arts. The donation
was split among each school in the city.
This was not the first time Jimin donated to
education programs. From 2016 to 2018,
Jimin covered the cost of uniforms for
graduates of Busan Hodong Elementary
School. After the school closed, he donated
the uniforms to the graduates and provided
autographs for the students.

J-Hope and Suga have both
donated to causes they care
about
J-Hope donated to the Child Fund Korea
multiple times. In December 2018, he
donated $133,000 and requested the
donation be private. Later in February 2019,
the rapper donated $89,000.

In 2014, Suga promised fans that if he
became successful he would buy beef for
fans. When the rapper turned 25, he kept his
promise and donated beef to 39 orphanages.

BTS’ dope rapper, Suga donated $88,000 to the
Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
BTS has allotted to different
causes as a group

With all of the members being so generous and thoughtful,
it’s no surprise BTS also donated to different
causes as a group.
In 2014, BTS donated to
families of the victims of the Sewol Ferry
catastrophe.

In 2017, BTS and Big Hit
Entertainment donated $85,000 to the Sewol
Ferry Disaster 416 Family Council.

The group also partnered with UNICEF to
form an anti-violence campaign called LOVE
MYSELF.

According to Billboard, BTS and
Big Hit Entertainment pledged to donate
$447,400 and “3% of the Love
Yourself series’ physical album sales
income” to the campaign.
Black life matters

After K-pop titans, BTS expressed their solidarity with
BlackLivesMatter this week, announcing “we stand
together” against racial discrimination, the band and
its Korean record label is making a further
commitment: BTS and Big Hit Entertainment have
donated $1 million to Black Lives Matter, a rep for
Big Hit confirmed
The donation was transferred earlier this week, with
Black Lives Matter verifying receipt to Big Hit on
Friday.

BTS and Big Hit are not anticipated to
comment on the donation; contacted by Variety Kailee Scales, managing director for Black Lives
Matter said:
“Black people all over the world are in pain at this
a moment from the trauma of centuries of oppression.
We are moved by the generosity of BTS and allies all
over the world who stand in solidarity in the fight for
Black lives.”

BTS delivered a Speech At United
Nations Urging Young People To
‘Find Your Voice’

BTS evolved as first K-pop group to recite at the United Nations on Sept. 24, in an
the accomplishment to empower young people.
The septet arrived at the U.N. for the launch of Generation Unlimited, a campaign “to
guarantee every young individual is in education, training or employment by 2030.” The event
featured by speakers like famous YouTube personality and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Lilly
Singh aka Superwoman.

Leader RM took to the mic and addressed the youth flanked by his six fellow members — Jin, Suga, J-Hope,
Jimin, V and Jungkook.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is whatsapp-image-2021-02-04-at-11.18.34-pm.jpeg

During the speech, RM expressed his strong viewpoints & got personal by touching on his journey to self-actualization in
the face of struggles. “I tried to jam myself into the other moulds that other people made,”

he further expressed, “Soon, I began to shut out my voice and listen to the voice of others. No
one called out my name and neither did I. My heart stopped and my eyes closed shut. Like this, I—we—all lost our names. We became like ghosts. But I had one sanctuary,
and that was music.”

Namjoon furthermore talked about the hardships BTS faced when they started as scapegoats
in the K-Pop industry. “Even after deciding to join BTS, there were a lot
of hurdles,” he explained. “Some people might not believe but most people thought we were
hopeless, and sometimes I just wanted to quit.”

However, even after becoming a global megastar, the 24-year-old leader has still struggled to accept
all versions of himself. “Yesterday’s me is still me,” he said. “Today I am who I am with
all of my faults and my mistakes. Tomorrow I might be a tiny bit wiser and that would be
me too. These faults and mistakes are what I am, making up the brightest stars in the
the constellation of my life. I have come to love myself for who I am, for who I was, and for
who I hope to become.”

At the end of the speech, RM brought up a new step to the group’s familiar “love
yourself” refrain: “speak yourself.”
“I want to hear your voice,” he said. “I want to hear your conviction. No matter where
you’re from, skin colour, gender identity, just speak yourself. Find your name [and] find
your voice.”

His powerful speech went viral as the hashtag #BTSxUnitedNations trended worldwide on
Twitter for several hours.
Over the years, BTS has built a huge reputation as one of the most powerful & socially conscious groups
in Korea.
Their lyrics have approached subjects like mental illness, consumerism and
issues in the school system.
In November 2017, the group partnered with UNICEF for
an anti-violence campaign called “Love Myself.”
In July, UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta H. Fore thanked BTS and ARMY for
raising $1 million for UNICEF’s campaign to end violence against children and young
people.
“The LOVE MYSELF campaign is proof that youthful people around the world can
come jointly and make a difference,” she said in a video message to the group. “From
your music to your messages to your donations, you’ve shown the power of kindness.”

BTS is in the middle of North America; BTS World Tour: Love Yourself. They’ve
become the first K-pop band to play a stadium concert when they hit New York City’s
Field on Oct 6.
They’ve also tape performances for ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy
Fallon and Good Morning America’.

BTS are their enthusiasts 21 century Mistery,
symphony heals people but if we discuss their music, it’s not the only tune but the way more of keeping on with the struggles, they always tend to help the young
generation through their songs which has deep messages which would help the ’20s and 30’s people to dwell well on
their journey.
They believe in solving situation rather than revolving around problems, their music heals the young genre, to grow, to love them the most.
The most difficult thing in our life is accepting and loving yourself. They always educate it’s meaning to their fans.
if we lose our strength they are always present near us to make things
right, because they are our anpanman and constantly taught us

” Done is better than perfect” There are numerous harsh times in the life, where we stumble and
unable to get up. They made a Magic shop to comfort and lead their fans to the
way ofeven if no one is there for us those 7 boys who live in Korea
in the city of Seoul who understands us, in our hard time.
